THCA flower is raw cannabis flower that's high in tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA), the non-psychoactive precursor to THC. On its own — in raw form — THCA does not produce a high. But when you heat it through smoking, vaping, or dabbing, THCA converts into Delta-9 THC and produces the same effects most people associate with traditional cannabis: relaxation, euphoria, sensory enhancement, and mood elevation.
From a legal standpoint, THCA flower is sold as a hemp product because it contains less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight before heating — which is the federal definition of hemp under the 2018 Farm Bill.
